On a personal note, saying "Mimi" and "Poppa" makes me feel a little less like a man and turns my stomach... but my personal distaste and stomach distress aside, Gio and I have chosen to honor my parents' choice of nicknames--after all, they are getting old and cranky. 12/07 - FYI...
FYI... "Mimi" and "Poppa" were the nicknames Grandma and Grandpa Schroeter chose for themselves.

On a personal note, saying "Mimi" and "Poppa" makes me feel a little less like a man and turns my stomach... but my personal distaste and stomach distress aside, Gio and I have chosen to honor my parents' choice of nicknames--after all, they are getting old and cranky.
